1. lay the lamp flat on the floor and unscrew the bottom three screws, which hold the light rod in place.
2. once the screws are undone, slightly squeeze the bottom of the light rod and push it into the lampshade
3. pull out the light rod through the top of the lamp. add or change light bulbs. reinsert the light rod and secure the screws.
